Volunteer Services for Animals, Inc.
VSA has provided rescue, foster care and discount spay/neuter services to help the homeless animals of Collier county since 1982. If you are interested in adopting a new furry family member, VSA has many cats and kittens that are waiting for their new forever homes. Please visit our adoption center, 7 days a week, located in the PetSmart store on Pine Ridge Road in Naples, and as of July 21 2008, our new adoption center at Petco on US 41 and Wiggins Pass!
Volunteer Services for Animals - Adoption
Our Adoption program is the most important part of what we do. There is nothing more special than the moment when we place one of our deserving cats or kittens in their new forever home.
How to adopt
Because most kitties are in foster homes, everyone must fill out an adoption application prior to setting a meeting with a cat or kitten. Once your application is filled out and submitted, someone will call you to do a phone interview for adoption pre-approval. Once you are pre approved, VSA will set up a time for you to meet and adopt your new kitty. The adoption pre approval process is required prior to meeting one of our cats or kittens.
- Adoption fees paid in advance are non refundable. If you pre adopt a kitten too young to take home, an adoption fee will be required and will not be refundable if you decide to not take the kitten home, when the time comes.
- All animals listed on our website are available for adoption. The website is updated daily, so if you don't find what you are looking for today, check back tomorrow! We are constantly updating kitties available for adoption.
Volunteer Services for Animals, Inc. - Rescue & Foster
VSA would not be possible without the amazing support and effort from our foster parents. We always welcome new foster parents to join our organization. Fostering a homeless pet provides a safe and loving environment until they are adopted. Our foster program allows you to share in the joys of having pets, without the lifetime responsibility. If you are not ready or able to make the lifetime commitment of adopting a pet, but you want the fulfillment of caring for a needy homeless cat or kitten, fostering is a great way to help.
VSA is in need of kitten and cat foster homes, special needs fosters, and fosters to help socialize feral kittens. We can also always use volunteers to transport cats to and from vet visits and adoption events. If you would like to experience all the rewards of fostering a pet, please contact us!
