Stone Crab Festival - Welcome!
The Stone Crab Festival is a weekend of food and fun, starring of course, the stone crab. It’s also your chance to explore the beautiful Naples waterfront with activities on land and by water in and around Bayfront, Tin City, Crayton Cove, the Naples City Dock, and more!
Proceeds from this festival will benefit the Naples Backyard History, a non-profit organization working to honor the pioneers of Naples as the driving force of several projects that will make Naples an even better place to live, visit and work. Partial proceeds will also benefit Grace Place, a collaborative partner of Naples Backyard History. Grace Place's mission helps over 400 families with literacy, language, and life skills to at-risk children and impoverished families in our community.
Stone Crab Festival - About
Sitting by the water, (of course!), the Naples Waterfront Association members talked about hosting a two-day event that would offer residents and visitors alike several waterfront locations to enjoy food, games, children’s activities and live music. The beautiful waters of Naples are an important part of the history of the area and its growth from a small, fishing village of days gone by to today’s tropical paradise that attracts visitors worldwide. Naples Backyard History and the Naples Waterfront Association educational collaborations will bring at risk children to the waterfront for cultural enriching experiences.
Stone Crab Festival - Naples Waterfront Association
The Naples Waterfront Association was launched to bring together the many waterfront businesses in the City of Naples as a one-stop source for all that makes living in Naples...paradise. The members decided it was time to start a Naples tradition of family fun where residents and visitors alike can come and see for themselves the beauty of our local waters, and the important role it plays in the charm and vitality of Naples.
Stone Crab Festival - Naples Backyard History
A natural fit to this event is the Naples Backyard History, which was started in 2007 by Lavern N. Gaynor and Lois A. Bolin, PhD as a way to honor the pioneering spirit of Naples’ old timers. The founding families of Naples brought a unique vision to the area, and the paradise we appreciate today is due to their determination.
