Mary Carol Photography - Overview
Specializing in Fine Art, Travel, Wedding & Event Photography!
Born in Park Ridge, IL, Mary Carol moved to Naples with her family in 1988.  She has always enjoyed photographing people, nature and the intriguing beauty of the world in which we live.

In high school and college she did not have a photography career in mind. Although in high school she served as yearbook photographer for several years, as it had always been her passion. Later, when she attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, she enrolled in a Liberal Arts program with a major in English Literature with minors in Writing and Australian Studies.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rollins, she picked up her camera again and started shooting. Realizing that photography is her true passion, she found her primary subject to be the great outdoors—the place she loves to be most.

Mary Carol continues to explore her talents as a Fine Art Photographer on a daily basis. While she has been mostly self-taught, she has had the chance to work with a number of outstanding photographers, attended Ft. Lauderdale Art Institute in 2004 and continues her education with online courses.

Most recently she expanded her horizons by attending workshops in Santa Fe, NM with National Geographic, The Venice School of Photography and Toscana Photographic Workshops in Italy. With a zest for travel, she also incorporates her photography into her freelance travel writing having written for Bonita Living & Pulse Magazine.

Mary Carol also works full time in real estate as a Managing Member & REALTOR of The Fitzgerald Family Real Estate Group specializing in residential real estate—also in association with The Fitzgerald Group of Southwest Florida & Clausen Properties, Inc. Here she works hand-n-hand with her family and boyfriend and business partner, Joseph Fasano. 

Artist Statement
“My work depicts the natural settings of my subjects, rarely containing artificial light. There’s something about nature, the water, and the wildlife that puts me at ease. When I shoot, whether it may be in my own backyard or traveling to new and exciting places, I only hope to capture the essence of that feeling to share with others. I wish for these moments to last a lifetime.”
