The Susan and William Dalton Discovery Center with the John & Carol Walter Discovery Wing features over 80 different animal species and many interactive exhibits. You'll learn about the wondrous ecosystems of Southwest Florida - the amazing uplands, unique Everglades, majestic mangroves, and beautiful beaches. Learn about native snakes, gators, and discover multiple sea creatures at our live touch tank.
From there, you will enter into John & Carol Walter Discovery Wing which includes the invasive species wing where you will learn about our invasive species work and be able to see lionfish and a Burmese python exhibit. The Climate Change Gallery features a NOAA operated Science on the Sphere that teaches you about weather systems and more! The Dalton Discovery Center also has a patch reef tank with many native Southwest Florida fish including a spotted moray eel.
